I’m usually a tough critic and a bit of a loyalist when it comes to skincare products. I like what I like and it’s been confirmed that most skincare lines don’t do what they claim to do. BUT I recently tried the Y.E.S. skincare line for 1-month, which includes a 1) Rejuvenating Moisture Cream and 2) Anti-Again Serum, and I have to say that it really stood out. A lot of facial moisturizers I’ve used in the past feel like body moisturizers, meaning they have more of water base to them and quickly soak into your skin. That’s not entirely a bad thing but when I used to the Y.E.S. Rejuvenating Moisture Cream I could feel more a protective gel-base texture on my face that half soaked into my skin and half created a protective barrier again the elements (i.e. the crazy cold weather here in NYC where I live). Because it’s more of a gel-base moisturizer, it coats your face in a silky smooth way and you’ll never feel dry or chapped. Best of all, it makes makeup application a cinch because you’re working with a smoother surface after you apply the moisturizer. The Y.E.S Anti-Aging Serum is wonderful too. Usually serums are “filmy” and thick. They always make me worry whether my skin can breath under them. And I’ve never seen results from them either. After 1 month of using Y.E.S Anti-Aging Serum, I actually saw a difference. My skin felt perkier, firmer and just looked more alive that usual. I happen to have dry skin and most products just can’t give me the moisture I need. But after 1-month, it’s almost like my skin changed because it barely felt dry anymore. I was pretty consistent in my use, applying in both mornings and evenings…so I definitely recommend that. The serum is super light and feels refreshing when you apply it. But afterwards you won’t even know you have it on and that’s why the Rejuvenating Moisture Cream is a perfect Step #2.

Overall, what I love most about the Y.E.S. Skincare line is that it goes on incredibly smooth and feels delicious on your skin. I’m a big fan of skincare that works dually for AM/PM use and which holds up and doesn’t get greasy while you’re working out (which I do a lot of as part of my job). The packaging makes both the serum and moisturizer easy to travel with too. I take them with me in my gym bag when I know I’m going to shower in the locker room. If you’re on the fence about Y.E.S., just say YES because it’s a divine skincare line.

It should be said that I am a highly skeptical person and had serious doubts as to the capabilities of an anti-aging product. Being of Cherokee decent, I have had small dark circles under my eyes since I was two years old. I’ve always appeared older than I am because of this, and have tried my fair share of products to improve the situation.

I noticed a difference in my skin tone on the second day of using these products. The dark circles under my eyes appeared to have lightened and my skin had a fresh glow to it.
